2v2 D1 Tournament March 2014

Basics:
- Teams of 2 (no backups)
- Official tournament = squad based teams only -> squad medals involved (official tournament rules apply)
- Descent 1 only
- After signup close teams would be split between two 'tiers' based on total ace stars for the team (lifetime overall)
- Every team with total number of ace stars 5 or more would be assigned to upper (gold) tier
- Every team with total number of ace stars less than 5 would be assigned to lower (silver) tier
- Each tier is played as separate tournament with its own pool of medals (including squad ones)
- Ace rating is considered at the time when the team gets approved (within 48 hours after signup)

Restrictions :
No 4 or 5 star players allowed in lower(silver) tier.
No 0 star or 1 star players allowed in upper (gold) tier.
Minimum number of 3 teams required to start games within each tier. (if 1 tier only has 3 or more teams - the other one won't be played)

Other stuff:
- Rangers host settings apply
- Games are reported as usual Ranger games with event selected, additional bonuses are added at the end of the event
- At least one screenshot is required to be added to game report,or sent to event sponsor.
- Each team has to play all other teams within the same tier twice (each team's selected level from the event level pool - Entire Anarchy Ranger Pack for Descent 1)
- Win is rewarded with 3 tournament points, lose with 1 tournament point
- Tie is allowed on any place except first and second (within each tier) - in case of a tie the games played between tied teams are considered - if that wont solve a tie (1 win on each side) then tie breaker match is played (2 games) with the same score limit in both games - total team score from both games is considered in this case
- Only official dxx version 58.1 is allowed, or other based on 58.1 code (sniperpacket, retrohommers) only if both teams agree to use it
- Replacements are allowed as long as it wont affect tier placement for the team, once the person is replaced can't come back to the tournament
Note: Try to avoid creating Cadet only teams since all games should be run by member with rank of a Ranger or above. In theory we could allow only 1 such team in tournament
