Tournament Sponsors
yagar, Sirius, Tigeron and Skywarp
Duration
From 3 PM on Saturday, May 28, 2016, 3PM to 7 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 (Eastern Time)
The teams in this tournament are the four squads: Black Lions, Blue Lightning, Gold Phoenix Guard, and Red Dragons. Each squad plays each other squad twice - one "home" game, and one "away" game - for a total of six (6) games per squad. The "home" team chooses the level in each game.
Matches can be any size - 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 - and you can play with any eligible pilot from your squad provided they have signed up. There is no guarantee that the two squad teams in a game will be evenly matched, so the scoring system being used adjusts for this to keep games more competitive.

Rules
Eligibility
Participants must be an active full member and have played at least one scored team game by May 27, 2016 (the day before the beginning of the tournament), as they need to have a valid lifetime Ace Rating for the Team Anarchy game mode.
Sign-ups
Players must sign up to participate, and squad leaders are responsible for orchestrating the sign-up process as they see fit, and providing the list of participating players from their squad to the tournament sponsors.
While there are no non-participation penalties, players should only sign up if they intend and expect to be able to play for their squad in the tournament, in order to make planning easier for their squad's leaders.
Scheduling
Matches may be played during on a Game Day or by special arrangement. There are five Game Days total, spread across three weekends, with one weekend per month (see Game Day Schedule below).
Squads should plan to have pilots available to play matches on each Game Day, during the time period indicated for that day. It is strongly recommended that each squad play at least two games on each weekend to ensure they can finish all their games by the end of the tournament.
Matches may also be played at other times by special arrangement, but this requires that both squads involved agree to the new time and that a tournament sponsor is available at the new time, as the sponsor is responsible for verifying attendance in case a no-show occurs. (There will always be at least one tournament sponsor available on each Game Day.) If squads schedule a match by special arrangement, they must play the match at the arranged date and time; otherwise no-show penalties will be imposed (see No-shows below).
All games must be completed by 7 PM Eastern Time on July 30, 2016, at the conclusion of the last Game Day. No-show scoring rules will be used for any matches that have not been played by this point, based on the squad members present during the final Game Day.
Game Day Schedule
All times shown are Eastern Daylight Time. Squads should attempt to have pilots online during the times listed on these days.
Saturday 5/28/16 - 3PM-5PM
Sunday 5/29/16 - 3PM-5PM
Saturday 6/25/16 - 5PM-7PM
Sunday 6/26/16 - 5PM-7PM
Saturday 7/30/16 - 3PM-7PM All matches must be played by the conclusion of this Game Day
Reporting
Matches should be reported through the Rangers' standard game reporting system. The event field must be set to the correct event. A screen shot must be attached with the game report. The match should be reported as a squad match, unless one of the teams requests otherwise before the match begins. One of the event sponsors will update the tournament page with the results of each match.
Maps
The "home" squad team chooses the map in each match. Any D1 or D2 map may be chosen, and different maps may be used for each home game if the squad wishes.
Scoring
Teams are to agree on a kill goal for each match. The suggested goal is 10 kills for each participant (40 kills for a 2v2, 60 kills for a 3v3, and 80 kills for a 4v4). All standard Ranger rules apply to tournament games.
Scoring for the tournament is based on the final team score of each game, adjusted using the combined lifetime Ace Rating in Team Anarchy for each player on each team in that game. (The Ace Rating used for each player is as of May 27, 2016; games played during the tournament will not affect scoring adjustments for subsequent games.)
The following page will be used for scoring, and can also be used by squads to determine the result they need to beat:
http://www.descentrangers.com/WebContent/Index?key=ice_teams_event
The maximum number of tournament points that can be earned in a match is 100; this is awarded when a squad wins by the expected margin or better. If a squad loses, or does not reach their expected margin of victory, they will usually be awarded less points for the game. If a squad loses, but performs better than expected, they will be awarded bonus points, which may earn them more tournament points than the winner if they perform well enough (but cannot increase their points past 100).
The squad with the highest point totals from all their matches at the end of the tournament will be the overall winner of the tournament.
No-Shows
A no-show occurs when a squad misses a match or fails to field the minimum of 2 pilots required to play the match. When this occurs, the match will be considered completed, the squad that does not have enough pilots to play will receive 0 points, and the opposing squad will receive 100 points. If both teams fail to provide enough pilots, both teams will receive 0 points.
No-show rules apply when two squads arrange to play a match outside of the standard Game Day Schedule, and fail to play the match on that date. They also apply to any matches that have not been completed at the conclusion of the event at 7 PM EDT on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Any matches that have not been played by this point will be considered no-shows, and points will be awarded to the squad that had members available to play during the final Game Day, if any.
Awards
A Medal of Victory will be awarded to all participating pilots from the winning squad. Medals of Participation will be awarded to all pilots that participate in the tournament.
Participation requires playing matches, so members who sign up for the tournament but do not play matches will not be awarded either medal.
