Pigmy: Describe how your pilot name came to be your pilot name.
Canuck-eh: Quite a while before joining the Rangers, I flew under the name Roids, the in-game messages that Roids killed so-and-so always got a laugh from everyone. When I joined the Rangers I was asked to come up with a less "colourful" nick so I chose Canuck. Shortly after choosing the nickname, another Canuck from Kali said that was his name and to stop using it. I challenged him to play 5 games winner gets the nick. I won 4 out of the 5 games and he relinquished the nick to me, whereupon I decided because he honoured the wager that I'd just add the -eh part after and let him keep his nick. He was quite grateful.
Pigmy: What drew you to the Descent Rangers in the first place, and who recommended you, if you remember.
Canuck-eh: I was playing online in Kali and noticed that all the best players seemed to come from Wildcards and the Rangers and I would hang out on their servers to solicit games from pilots waiting for a next round or wanting to warm up. I was about to join the Wildcards simply because their server had better ping, but after playing the Rangers for a bit more, I decided to go with them. I found the Rangers on my own and I'm glad I did.
Pigmy: How long have you been playing Descent for?
Canuck-eh: Started with the 7 level demo (Shareware) in October of 1995, beating the un-patched boss in level 7 was intense and apparently impossible for some.
Pigmy: What other kinds of games are you interested in?
Canuck-eh: Crysis, GTA, Minecraft
Pigmy: What hobbies interest you outside of Descent/Gaming?
Canuck-eh: Electronics, I eat, breathe, and sleep it. I do have a sizeable stamp collection and I love x-country skiing. Recently I found out I like working out in the yard so I built a tiered garden and a fire pit area. This Spring I will be planting vittles and fending off the deer that will maraud anything in a garden.
Pigmy: Would you recommend Descent to other people and would you recommend the Rangers to other people?
Canuck-eh: I try and get as many people interested in Descent as I can, and if I'm online and see a new pilot that has a good attitude and sportsmanship, I'll tell them about the Rangers and ask them to check us out.
