Pigmy: Describe how your pilot name came to be your pilot name.
Jediluke: When I joined Kali (way back in the day) I tried to register the name "Ender" (from the book Ender's Game - movie coming to a theater near you this November), but that nick was taken already by an UT pilot. I tried several star wars related nicks that were all taken so I resorted to combining Jedi and Luke and it was the first nick name that Kali let me pick and I've kept it ever since.
Pigmy: How long have you been playing Descent for?
Jediluke: Not sure what year I joined Kali and began playing D1. I do recall that D2 was the newer game (D3 didn't exist yet) and was heavily played. I was a 'newbie' with a serial # of 130950 on Kali.
Pigmy: What's your favorite style of Multiplayer Descent? (Anarchy, Coop, CTF) and why?
Jediluke: Anarchy, specifically 1 on 1, is my preferred style of game. 1 on 1 in Descent is the equivalent of playing chess at 100 miles an hour.
Pigmy: What's your favorite Primary and Secondary Weapon in D2? (and why?)
Jediluke: What's D2? The only game that matters is D1...my favorite primary is likely the plasma and 2ndary...homers. (shocker right?)
Pigmy: What drew you to the Descent Rangers?
Jediluke: I had a desire to compete against any and all pilots regardless of where they played. Kali, Kahn, Zone and the Rangers were kind of a group of their own. While the Rangers have never been about 'competition' they still had some very strong pilots that I wanted to play against. What or who brought me back to the Rangers last year after a long hiatus was Tobycat. He found me on Facebook and talked me in to downloading Mumble and set me up with Rebirth.
Pigmy: What other games do you like to play?
Jediluke: I used to play the Battlefield series and Far Cry 1 & 2 but I've never loved a game the way I love Descent. It's my addiction.
Pigmy: What other hobbies are you interested in, outside of video games?
Jediluke: I'm a technology fan and love gadgets like smart phones...I stay on top of smart phone news...and would get a new phone every 6 months if I could :) I was an art major in college and a music minor and competed in Judo. Now I'm just old and lazy and sit in front of a computer playing games with fellow geeks!
